Triangle Tech

Alternative Loans

It is Triangle Tech’s recommendation that this financing option be used only after you have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and have exhausted all Federal and State financial assistance, including but not limited to, grants, which you do not have to repay, and federal subsidized and/or unsubsidized loans and / or PLUS loans through the Direct Loan Program, which you do have to repay.

If you choose to borrow an alternative loan in addition to the Federal Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized loan(s) which you have borrowed or will borrow under the Direct Loan Program, this loan will require an additional, separate repayment plan with terms and conditions different from the terms and conditions of the loans which you have borrowed under the Direct Loan program. Therefore, we encourage you to carefully consider the amount of loan funds you request: borrow wisely. Your eligibility for loan funds will be determined based upon your enrollment status at Triangle Tech, the loan period, the educational costs for the loan period and the anticipated and/or received financial aid resources you will have for the loan period.

Please click here for a copy of the Private Education Loan Applicant Self-Certification Form. If you are considering an alternative loan as a financing resource, your Triangle Tech Financial Aid Advisor will complete Section 2 of this form. You will then need to provide this form to your lender.

The Interest Free Installment Payment Plan (IPP)

Triangle Tech's IPP Plan enables you to make regularly scheduled monthly payments of all or a portion of your tuition and fees free of interest or finance charges. In addition, IPP allows you to determine how much of your tuition, fees, books and supplies you want to pay in installments. This feature affords you the ability to budget costs as best fits your personal circumstances. The sooner you get started, the lower your monthly payments.
